Let It Be

Sudah lama tidak menulis. Sudah lama juga tidak mendengar lagu di sini. Jadi aku letakkan sebuah lagu dari kumpulan The Beatles bertajuk Let It Be untuk kamu dengar dan nikmatinya.



Ramai orang terutama orang Islam tidak mahu mendengar lagu ini kerana disangka mereka ianya berkaitan dengan Virgin Mary, salah satu cabang kepercayaan agama Kristian. Ini kerana terdapat dalam lirik lagu Let It Be perkataan Mother Mary dan intonasi seperti berdoa kepadanya. Perlu aku jelaskan dulu kronologi waktu lagu ini dicipta. Ianya pada tahun 1970 iaitu tahun terakhir kumpulan The Beatles bersama dan lagu Let It Be ini adalah salah sebuah lagu dalam album terakhir mereka, juga dengan tajuk yang sama, Let It Be.

Lagu Let It Be adalah ciptaan Paul McCartney, menceritakan ingatan beliau terhadap mendiang ibunya, Mary McCartney. Mary McCartney meninggal dunia akibat serangan kanser ketika Paul berumur 14 tahun. Munculnya Mary McCartney dalam ingatan Paul ketika dia sedang sibuk dengan rakaman album terakhir The Beatles memberikan ketenangan dan kedamaian terhadap Paul.
